In order to be fair and balanced I have given Mayor Crosby every opportunity to post his accomplishments, as Mayor on this forum. He hasn't done so, as of yet, which could make one wonder if there are any accomplishments. But being that as it may be I will post an accomplishment he had posted on CoopertownTNtalk Yahoo forum in an attempt to encourage him to communicate to his constituents the positive day to day activities of City Hall.

In response to Self-congratulatory signs posted by city
To respond to the criticisms regarding the road improvements in the
city, I have broken down by year the maintenance to the roadways:
November 2005 to November 2006 Road Improvements
(All this accomplished while being harassed by insurgents and
suspended from office for five months):
Paved the Following Roads: Woods Road; The First Portion of
McMahon Hollow Road; Henry Gower Rd. (former "Pot Hole Road" as
posted by the residents under the prior administration)
Pot Hole Repairs - 144 tons
New Road Culverts to Improve Drainage and Increase Roadway Safety:
Two 4' – Woods Rd.
8' – Ewell Elliott
5' – Errell Dowlen
7' – Errell Dowlen
8' – Errell Dowlen
18" – Errell Dowlen
16" – Martins Chapel Church Rd.
18" – McMahon Hollow Rd.
36" – Cooper Nicholson Rd.
Added Culvert Extensions to Widen Roads and Increase Roadway Safety:
20'x18" – Joe Mac Lipscomb
4'x18" – Errell Dowlen
8'x18" – Errell Dowlen
24'x12" – Cooper Nicholson
Built Up Roadside to Increase Shoulder Width and Roadway Safety:
Two (2) areas on Woods Rd.; one (1) area on Cooper Nicholson Rd.
Grass Cutting 7 times – entire city
Trash Pick-up 6 times – entire city
Beginning November 2006 and running through November 2007
Paved the following roads: Ott Wilson Road and First Portion of
Errell Dowlen
Formed a private partnership with the developer to re-gravel and
smooth private road Sugar Camp Road. The developer provided the
gravel and Mayor Crosby on my time and my own tractor, graded the
gravel.
Additional Road and Byways Improvements:
Cleared obstructive trees and brush for longer sight distances and
roadway safety (while maintaining native hardwoods): Battle Creek
Rd.; Old Coopertown Rd.; Cooper Nicholson Rd.; Errel Dowlen Rd.
Rock Removal to widen road due to poor original road design – Errell
Dowlen and Cooper Nicholson
It was necessary to clear Cooper Nicholson and Errell Dowlen and do
the rock work to widen the road BEFORE we pave the "new" roadway.
Grass Cutting 2 times before suspension and 3 times this summer –
entire city
Trash Pick-up – an ongoing battle throughout the entire city
Because of the savings due to (1) the savings by negotiation to the
wholesale cost of the materials for the road improvements, and (2)
that I personally ran the heavy equipment that I am trained to run
(at no cost to the city), (3) we were able to donate $80,000 to the
schools in our community for programs that the county could not
afford and for which they would not pay.
It is unfortunate that prior administrations and the county did not
take care of the roads AND byways in our city. Trees that are
currently at least 24 inches in diameter should never have been left
to grow and mature within the right-of-way space. Untold dollars in
property damage, and even the loss of lives due to vehicle crashes,
could have been saved if they had been properly maintained over the
past 25 years. Not to mention the beautification of our township.
Citizens must realize that you cannot fix in one or two years 65
miles of roadway that have been neglected for 25 years.
I would also like to thank Gordon, Phillip and all the guys on the
street crew. I know how hard you work and how much you care that
things are done the RIGHT way. I also know that sometimes it seems
as if you take only abuse on the front line, but the majority of our
citizens see and appreciate all that you do. I am very proud of
each one of you.
If anyone has any question about the roadwork being done in the
city, I invite you to come by city hall and I will personally
explain the work that has been done and the work that we plan to do.
Mayor Danny Crosby
