there was no evidence that could be produced. Randy Blye of AAA
informed me that Terri Shoals, Dot Adkins, Susan Slawson, Ethel
Spiller, and last but not least, your Alderwoman, Peggy Ruth called
and reported this city was a speed trap, and that people were being
cited for 3 and 4 miles over the speed limit. Which is a lie. I've
offered for you to come look at the court documents and evidently
you are better at typing on a keyboard and spreading lies than you
are at coming and seeing the truth for yourself.
As far as, Kerry McCarver he needs to be very careful at calling
Coopertown a speed trap because he has the same speed limit through
Pleasant View on Hwy 49 as Coopertown. This has also been the same
speed limit of 35 since Pleasant View was incorporated. The only
difference in the Coopertown Police Department and Pleasant View
Police Department is I don't allow officers to sit in the office.
What is the need in having a speed limit if you are not going to
enforce it. Not enforcing the speed limit is equivalent of
legalizing marijuana and other illegal drugs by sending a message of
apathy by non enforcement of these laws. Any mayor choosing not to
enforce the speed limit should promote the "autobahn theory" and
instruct their road crew to remove all speed limit signs. Maybe
Mayor McCarver needs to visit the Dollar General parking lot and
Horizon parking lot around 11:30pm., and see if he can detect the
very unique smell of pot burning and teenagers with budlight cans in
hand. This is very visible because I have witnessed this myself.
Billy, if you want to know the truth, come down to City Hall and
look for yourself. Then I will ask you not to continue promoting
your mistruths. Your Alderwoman is not giving you correct
information. Which seems to be a familiar trait of sabotage against
this administration.

Much of that attempt to call me out as a 'puppet' is horse duevers to me. I suspect he would like to take that back because it does not make me look bad but ot does make him look weak. Paul I think you have been in the ballpark of being right all along and the truth will win out in the end. It simply takes time for the real truth to surface when outlandish remarks are made. I was careful to only remark about what I knew and clearly he has not been quite so careful. Obviously to him I am craZ but I see it as "calling a spade a spade". Anytime you see a spade that does not realize it is a spade, then one should help out and identify it!

It is diligent citizen oversight that is needed in this case and there is a ton of history that proves to me how diligence is required at all levels of our government or we lose all we had gained as a new Republic 200+years ago.

How true Billy, it was post such as these which even Phyll knew had the potential for future drama which she wanted no part of. And so death to the CoopertownTNtalk forum. However, I believe in free speech and if any of his post wind up in court some day, then so be it.
