That is just a theory on my part emtivkwilson. I have another one I'll throw out there. Maybe the perpetrator of this crime is still employed by city hall. E-Chief Rose stated on this forum he had to enlist the help of Gordon Rhodes to install deadbolts on his office door due to an individual entering his office and going through his desk and personnel files. Anybody who would blatantly go through the chief's office could just as easily go through the lock boxes. My point is, why was this felony not investigated by an independent investigator other than the auditor. It's obvious the auditor only found a crime already known by the mayor himself. I have one more possible theory but it is getting late and I need to check on date of events of this theory.

Gordon, I noticed you were on here today. Care to comment on the missing monies from the lock boxes?

Again Gordon, you come on here and reply to other post but you won't touch this one. Why? What is the story behind the missing court money?

Ok.The money came up missing one night.Nobody knows what happened to the money. When the 2 girls checked up next day, there was money missing from both drawers. The question remains, why would anyone just take that much, and leave the rest? Now,you know as much as I do.
Gordon, there is more than just the question remaining of why would anyone take that particular amount of money from two locked cash drawers inside a locked closet. In fact, there are multiple unanswered questions remaining. I hope the answer to the question of why city officials didn't report the theft to the comptrollers office as required by law is just a matter of ignorance or inexperience on their part. The problem I have with believing the ignorance excuse is, they didn't report it to the proper law officials or the DA to conduct a thorough investigation of the theft. That would be an automatic to call the police when you've been robbed. Of course when there's the possibility that when an officer of the law in your jurisdiction could be a person of interest you need to call for an independent investigation such as the DA's office.
This just proves again, there is corruption at city hall. The comptrollers found that in their investigation.

This tells me there was more than one person involved in the theft. One person who had access to a drawer and another who had access the the other drawer could have easily conspired with each other to take a certain, but limited amount, of money from each drawer which they had access to. An individual would have taken all the money from both drawers.
How about some of you officers of the law who read this forum. Tell us how you would go about investigating this crime. There seems, to me, to be only a handful of possible suspects due to the limited time frame at night with limited suspects having access to the keys. Gordon says "Nobody knows what happened to the money". I think some good "old school" detective work could narrow down the suspects to the guilty party/parties. There seems to be the possibility this crime was swept under the rug until the auditors came along. Of course that is just my opinion based on my interpretation of the answer Gordon gave and no official investigation was called for by the mayor.

Hey Gordon, How is the Coopertowngate investigation going? Has Danny got the suspects narrowed down yet? What I would really like to know is...What did the Mayor know and when did he know it? Maybe the answer can be found on the tapes, unless there is that mysterious 18 minute gap caused by that Rosemary virus which has a nasty habit of erasing incriminating evidence,
