Is this for real? Someone who claims to be the mayor's neice, Holly Crosby from Fort Stewart, GA posted on Jul 12, 2006 in a different forum:
I am Danny Crosby's neice and I agree he is a power freak! He moved away from his entirely family in 1990 and didn't tell anybody where he was going. We didn't hear from him for almost ten years! Since he has "come back to the family" he has done nothing but throw orders around. When he comes to our family's town he expects me to wait on him hand and foot because he is my elder. I'm sorry but I lost all respect for him when he left us ten years ago and I don't feel like I owe him a darn thing! He never once offered up an apology for leaving and was already "involved" with his current wife before he divorced his other!
He found out that my granddaddy (his father) was sick in the hospital and decided he should call. He comes rushing home like this is going to make things all better! Then for the past three years he didn't bother to call or write to anyone but my grandparents, yet he has some wild Idea that I should care about him. Last February my grandadddy got very sick and was put on oxygen and feeding tubes. That was the only thing keeping him alive. We made a family decision that he shouldn't have to suffer that way and agreed to pull the tubes. As they were pulling the tubes, my granmother, my father, Danny, and myself were in there. Danny's phone starts ringing as they are removing the tubes! Does he ignore the phone or turn it off? NO! he answers it making the comment that it's coopertown and he is the mayor and all so he has to take the call. If my FATHER was dying in front of me Im thinkin my town could wait! He hasn't been back home since! He hasn't called in over a year. I have no desire to EVER talk to this man again! The stunts he is pullin right now are being printed in the front page of my hometown paper and it makes my family look bad! One more reason not to like the idiot!
