Let’s give the x-chief a break and put it behind us. It is obvious that his absents is due to Sgt. Cole and Mayor Crosby. With his experience and qualifications he can find anything better than Coopertown. I do think he was the one that got away and would have done the job correctly and promptly and made a difference!
We need to concentrate on our present police force and be aware of their actions;
Saturday their was a high speed pursuit in excess of 100mph by two officers Sgt. Cole and Officer Fasbio. That was cancelled in the city limits of Springfield. On the return to Coopertown the victim appeared back on Hwy 49 and the pursuit continued all the way to Clarksville.
Where did the blue Crown Vic come from that Sgt. Cole is driving? Why is it all the equipment and vehicles even the Tahoe appears at Coles dwelling? Some times three or four vehicles at a time for several days.

Mr. Rose will be interested and appreciative of your comments. I hope everyone in the pursuit is OK. Didn't you knowe that Sgt. Cole gets what he want when he wants it. I don't know what he has on Crosby but it must be big.

I agree rcsogumshoe, Chief Rose is the one who got away but that is not to say anything disparaging against all the other chiefs whom happen to stop in for awhile in Coopertown. My take on Officer Cole is he does everything by the book and dots all "i's" and crosses all "t's" and this is what scares Crosby. Besides, how can you fire you most productive ticket writer, 1108 is the last count presented to any forum about six monthe ago.

Yes Sgt. Cole must be an extremely large asset writing so many tickets. No Sgt Cold does not go by the book. You can take that statement to the bank.

I must say, someone, who happens to be the mayor's best friend is going to disagree with you. Namely Gordon Rhodes who has high regards for Officer Cole which leads me to believe so does the mayor.

Gordon Rhodes is the road superintendent for Coopertown. Danny Crosby hired him. He is the one individual who will come to the Mayor's defense when someone attacks the mayor or his policies. Just go to:

I think that question was answered in the response to my post. Does the truth hurt?

He has to run it by the mayor first. Gordon, why did Mayor Crosby tell Chief Rose that Peggy Ruth was going to bring up a past incident in order to get him to resign? How would he be privy to that type of information? Why would he want the Chief to resign?
