Something is still squirrely here. Danny has "NEVER" bowed to political opposition! The only time he has ever backtracked is when he arbitrarily reduced the speed limits without the full vote of the board. I just can't buy the excuse he ask for the chief's resignation because he didn't follow the proper channels especially when he was the messenger who delivered the bogus "past incident" message. There has to be some other reason. Maybe he was just using Mr.Rose to POST certify the police department. Once that was done he no longer needed him?

I can only tell you of what I know to be true. Mayor Crosby asked for the resignation using those two reasons for the request. Now you may have hit on another idea, which I might add he has already thought of. As Mr. Rose understands it there is quite a bit of support in Coopertown for him. Maybe he was the chance to start cleaning city hall.

With all of the past happenings it might be a good idea to keep an interim chief until the election is over. Maybe then Coopertown can start with a clean slate. Why let the Mayor keep ruining peoples lives by hiring and firing just to get what he wants done at a moments notice.

Actually if you think about it, interim chiefs are all Coopertown has had since Danny Crosby was elected. I think we are at number seven right now. Do you see a common denominator here? Where else could you go and find such a turnover? I wish I had the actual resignation letter sent to the paper. I have this feeling it is different from the one presented to the board.

Letters are the same.

What's going on here Gordon? The mayor ask for his resignation one month after claiming in the RCTimes "it's a new day in Coopertown".

Why did he ask for his resignation?

Both of these clowns will be the downfall of the the town of Coopertown. Cole's grip on Crosby is so tight that he (Crosby) just moves like a puppet! Cole is so far up Crosby's behind that he can't see anything straight. Cole do whatever he wants, whenever he wants and gets away with it!!! Crosby is just using people and ruining lives!!! He is a racist along with Cole and don't care about anything but themselves!!!
Cole is the one making the decisions, Crosby is just endorsing them. Who did Cole's background check? I heard some allegations of domestic that never surfaced...but he is not the only cop there with that problem... Hwo many police departments has Cole worked in during his law enforcement career? I am interested in knowing. The only thing Crosby is interested in is having them write tickets and bring revenue to the city. Crosby instructed an officer to stop writing tickets for seat belt violations since they were only 10 or 20 dollars and all the money was going to the state (none for the city). As you can probably tell there is no respect at all for neither one of these individuals, I hope the residents of Coopertown can get rid themselves of Crosby on the next elections and as soon as he is gone so will be Cole. Very Happy
