Are we crazy for holding people accountable in a city government like PV or Coopertown?

I think not but I would like to give people an opportunity to explain why we are wrong for holding them accountable for their actions and why we should not become supsicous of the situation when we have recent history on things like admitting to boorish behavior towards citizens with the police officers as was one of the issues in Crosby's case. Do we just ignore what we know as witnesses to a situation as if we are craZ or are we just concerned citizens like I believe?

Have to admit, don't include me in the crazy group, I am normal, it's everyone else that is adnormal.

As far as keeping an eye on our city goverment, let me ask the question "when is it too much?" Is it possible that too much impedes goverment, or saying everything that happens is bad? I don't agree much with the anti's or the for's, it may be possible they are all crazy

It's a fact of political life where the opposition will make every effort to impede the accomplishments of their opponents. For example, and I'm not supporting the substance of this example, the Bill Clinton, White Water, Monica Lewinsky scandal. This started out as an investigation into the failed Madison Guaranty business adventure of Bill and Hillary Clinton along with associates and progressed to the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The republicans spent forty million dollars trying to remove Bill Clinton from office. The end results was forty million dollars spent and the impediment on the Clinton presidency was minimum due to the popularity of this president. And the same holds true when the republicans are in control. The opposition will spend countless hours and tax payers monies to impede and discredit their opponents.

The same holds true for the Crosby administration's reluctance to impede his opposition. He should not allow all the negativity to go unchecked. This is not to say he must harass, threaten to sue and such, but to voice his accomplishments and defend his policies and decisions in an open forum such as this one.
